   I’m curious though…was the controversy all that unexpected? It is, after all, a history-making political race.

   All this exposure for Relevant does the heart good! I buy subscriptions for everyone I know and LOVE it when y’all get good PR elsewhere.

   I’m just so sad that, once again, the world will see the word “Christian” as synonymous with “abortion issue” and little else. Someday…maybe they’ll know us by our love, by our love.

   JenniferZ - the “abortion issue” is as big a deal for non-Christians as it is for Christians, that’s why this is controversial. If we were the only ones who cared, it wouldn’t be getting ink (or pixels).

   But you’re right, it’s very cool to see Relevant getting the exposure.

   Jennifer, I don’t intend to be mean but your comment is non-sensical. If you truly believes that abortion is murder than fighting said murder, especially of the innocent is the most loving thing one can do.

   But more tan that, consider what you are saying, and do you really believe it. You seem to imply that Christians should back off from a justice issue because a majority disagrees. I wonder if you would have given the same advice to Sojourner Truth…or other Christian abolitionist who fought to end the oppression of slaves in America?

   I can not believe that you would, i think you would realize that fighting slavery, while ticking off a majority of Christians and non-Christians was the best course of action for a Christian who desired to display not only the love of God but his justice.

   Doing right, no matter the cost, on behalf of those who can not act on their own is the most loving thing one can do. To duck an issue of Justice to look better is not only distasteful it is as unloving as anything I can imagine.

   Way to rock Barack, Relevant! You loved him enough to ask the right questions, and the world took notice. would that the media outlets that responded to your efforts would do the same…

   And to David, well said. I am convinced there is no issue more important - and none that more clearly reveals the true nature of the candidate - than the abortion issue. We can show no greater love than to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves and there are no more vulnerable individuals than unborn children.

   We must decide: Do we believe life begins at conception? Biblically, there is simply no debate. Medically and legally, we as a society have regularly concluded that it does. Our course, as individual believers and as the Church, should be clear:

   Act with Christlike love and fight (using legal, ethical, non-violent means) to save those who cannot save themselves;

   Look for opportunities to support, care for and love women dealing with unplanned pregnancies;

   Be open to considering the possibility of adoption, or foster care participation;

   Pray, pray, and pray some more that those considering an abortion will choose life, and that those performing abortions will have their hearts transformed by the unavoidable truth of life.

   Sorry, Obama did not “clarify the statement” he made in your interview. He completely backtracked. He said in your interview that he would support late-term abortions only for physical health reasons, and now he’s saying that he’d support them for mental health reasons.

   He’s clearly just pandering because he knew evangelicals would find it hard to stomach his very extreme views on abortion. Support for Roe means support for abortion at any stage of pregnancy for any reason. Obama sees no problem with this, and he’d even prefer to have taxpayers fund these abortions he’s supposedly “personally opposed” to.
