There seems to be a new wave of social media sabbaticals taking place. Maybe it’s correlated to New Year’s resolutions but more and more people are unplugging from their phones in order to get plugged into a world beyond the glow of a screen. While a social media cleanse every now and again can be good for a person, technology also has a beautiful way of connecting us to a world we would not know without it.

Platforms like Instagram have the power to introduce us to the wonders of the world that exist outside of our normal walls. It’s difficult to be in awe of God’s handiwork in the Northern Lights if you’ve never had the chance to see them, but Instagram offers the chance to explore without leaving your couch. I mean, you should probably leave your couch but in the case that you need some wanderlust in your Thursday evening after work, here are a few accounts that can better connect us to the wonders around us.
