When Community makes its long-awaited comeback on Jan. 2, the students of Greendale Community College will be joined by a growing list of famous friends. And now, it’s being reported that Arrested Development star and comedian David Cross will be making a special appearance on the show he once told A.V. Club was the “best comedy on TV, hands down.” Cross joins a star-studded cast of special guest appearing on season five of the NBC comedy including Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz, Breaking Bad mastermind Vince Gilligan, Adult Swim’s Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, The Daily Show’s Jon Oliver, actress Brie Larson and others.
