On Saturday morning, music fans woke up to find Bruce Springsteen’s new album High Hopes unexpectedly available to download on Amazon. As it turns out though, the leak was most likely a mistake by the online retailer—the Boss wasn’t “pulling a Beyoncé” by releasing the album unannounced. Even though the highly anticipated follow up to Wrecking Ball wasn’t scheduled to drop until Jan. 14, for a brief window this weekend, the site’s MP3 store made the entire record available for download through its mobile site. Though the site eventually realized its mistake and pulled the album, the damage was done. As of today, leaked copies of High Hopes are now readily available online. Huge mistake Amazon.
