Apple is continuing its slow takeover of all of your electronics with the unveiling of “CarPlay.” The iOS and touchscreen display—which is rolling out in some high-end vehicles at the Geneva auto show—uses a familiar interface and voice commands to let drivers access a GPS, their music library, text messages, emails and other things you obviously need while driving a car down the highway. The cars will need one additional accessory to fully engage with the CarPlay experience however—an iPhone. A driver’s phone must be tethered to the interface in order to work. But, if you are the owner of a Ferrari (an automaker that along with Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo that will make the technology available later this year in new models), purchasing a new iPhone likely won’t be an issue …
