Finally, the ability to examine the average ages of the cast of Saturday Night Live, in every season since 1975, in a single infograph (created by Splitsider’s Ramsey Ess). Sure, it’s a little geeky. But, considering that the show has launched the careers of some of pop culture’s most influential comedians, the chart provides an interesting look at how young many were when they just broke through, and how the show has changed (primarily by getting older) since the beginning. The 1982-1983 cast holds the distinction of being the youngest in the show’s history (at just 26.37), and the 2008-2009 season is the oldest, at 36.3 years old.
