In the wake of their demon-spawn menu items such as “fried pasta nachos” and “Italiano Burgers,” Olive Garden is maintaining their culture of being the high-class Taco Bell of Italian cuisine with the release of the Meatball Pizza Bowl. It’s a bowl of meatballs and cheese and sauce except the bowl is a pizza crust shaped to be like a taco-salad sorta construction.
That thing costs $9. Nothing so damaging and insidious as the Meatball Pizza Bowl should be so cheap and accessible. This is a national crisis. An Olive Garden spokesperson confirmed to Thrillist, also, that the thing is topped with 10 meatballs. That’s not OK.
Also, this is a lunch item. Lunch shouldn’t have to be this way.
