Billie Eilish Will Host Climate Change Event and Premiere New Climate Documentary

Billie Eilish is using her massive platform for the good of the planet.

On Friday, June 10, Eilish will host Overheated, a six-day climate action event that will bring together musicians, fashion designers and activists to call for positive change on issues of the climate crisis and animal rights.

Eilish is partnering with REVERB and Support + Feed, a Low Angeles-based nonprofit founded by her mother, Maggie Baird. The organization delivers vegan meals to people in need while advocated for a more “eco-friendly food system.”

The event will also mark the premiere of OVERHEATED: A Climate Change Documentary, a film starring Eilish and other Gen Z activists who are tackling climate change from different angles.

In the trailer, Eilish discusses suffering from “climate anxiety,” and young activists around the world describe the troubling climates they live in.

Last year, the United Nations released a report saying that humanity is in “code red” when it comes to climate change. Scientists have been urging citizens and politicians to do everything they can to stop the devastating effects of climate change, and it looks like Eilish is taking that plea to heart.

Other familir faces will join Eilish for the weekend. Ellie Goulding, Sigrid, Nick Mulvey, Love Ssega, Laura Misch, Vivienne Westwood and Finneas, Eilish’s brother, are expected to speak alongside climate and vegan activists.

The Overheated summit will take place in London, but those at home can livestream the event on YouTube.
