Entertainment industry mogul Barry Diller and his fashion-designer wife Diane von Furstenberg think New York City needs some Venice-style flare, announcing that “the time has come to properly honor its waterways.” The billionaire couple is funding a $130 million floating park to be known as Pier55, that according to CNN Money “will feature a mix of green spaces and performance venues.
