There is a new film underway about the life and times of The Lord of the Rings author, J.R.R. Tolkien and will be called Middle Earth.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the film will be directed by Downton Abbey’s James Strong and soon enough moviegoers everywhere will understand the mind behind the creator of Middle Earth.
The story will be centered around Tolkien’s early life when the Oxford professor was forced to be separated from his wife, Edith Bratt, in order to join the efforts of World War I.
THR disclosed that the script is currently being written by Angus Fletcher and “will explore four years of battle, hardship, and new friendships, which served to shape his imagination.”
No word yet on when the motion picture is expected to hit theaters, but thankfully that gives us all time to buy elf ears for the midnight premiere of the film.
