Captain Marvel made be fictional, but Brie Larson got as close to a real-life superhero as you can get and even deputized a young pop culture journalist on at the UK red carpet premiere of Captain Marvel to be a budding superhero herself.
If your day is in need of a pick-me-up, watch Larson assure her interviewer that she’s got plenty of superpowers in her own right and is only going to get more powerful as she grows up. In the comic book business, they call this an “origin story.”
It’s more evidence that Brie Larson may not be the superhero we deserve, but she’s the one we need right now.
