A video created for World Down Syndrome Day—which was yesterday—has started going viral, and it might be the best video on the internet right now.
Set to the song “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, the video features 50 moms and their children. As they explain, all of the 4-year-olds have one thing in common: an extra chromosome.
As the YouTube description explains, “The video was originally inspired by Singing Hands—a UK organization who’s videos have helped many in the group learn Makaton for supporting their children’s communication development. Makaton is designed to help hearing people with learning or communication difficulties using signs, symbols alongside speech.”
