Here’s a collaboration you probably never thought you’d hear. This weekend at the Bonnaroo music festival, Chance The Rapper hung out with the legendary indie rock outfit Death Cab for Cutie, and revealed he’s a big fan of their music. After snapping a few Instagram pics with the band backstage (and even requesting that “I Will Follow You Into the Dark” be added to the setlist), the artists evidently discussed working together.
Yesterday, after Death Cab posted images of their Chance hang out session, a fan asked Chance on Twitter if their were planning a collaboration. Chance’s response? “Big 10-4.”
There’s no official word on any sort of release date or what a Death Cab for Cutie/Chance the Rapper mashup will sound like, but apparently, we won’t have to wait too long to find out.
