In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Christian Bale said that he will not play Batman in any upcoming Justice League movies. There have long been rumors that Warner Bros. and DC Comics would follow the model of Marvel’s The Avengers and combine several of their franchises into a single series. But according to Bale, if the Justice League movie does happen, someone else will don the Dark Knight’s cape. Bale told EW, “It’s a torch that should be handed from one actor to another.
