Joseph Fiennes (probably best known for his role in Shakespeare in Love) and Tom Felton (Draco in the Harry Potter movies) are set to star in another Bible-inspired big-screen effort. The plot sounds promising. According to Deadline, in Clavius, 50 days after the crucifixion, a Roman centurion (played by Fiennes) is dispatched by Pontius Pilate to “investigate rumors of a risen Messiah and locate the missing body of Jesus of Nazareth in order to subdue an uprising in Jerusalem.” Along the way, his own skepticism about Christ is “challenged as he encounters the Apostles and other historical characters.” The movie is due to hit theaters on Easter weekend next year …
