They said it couldn’t be done. They said it was bound to fail. And yet Community is going to be actually returning next January and, as an added bonus, is going to have its original showrunner and writer, Dan Harmon, back steering the ship. This is great news for Community fans who sorely missed his guiding hand in the most recent season, after a series of arguments between Harmon and whoever is in charge over at NBC resulted in him getting the axe. But all is forgiven and the little show that somehow keeps limping along—despite backstage drama, an unruly Chevy Chase and an overly confessional Donald Glover—is going to give it another go starting January 2.
