The work of playwright August Wilson is coming to HBO. Denzel Washington has announced that he is producing and directing the Pulitzer Prize winning collection of 10 plays Wilson wrote about the modern African-American experience, set in Pittsburgh. Each portion of “The Pittsburgh Cycle” takes place during a different decade in the same city through a variety of connected stories. Washington will also star in one of the installments—Fences, set in the 1950s—with Viola Davis.
