The heroine of Brave has been inducted into the list of Disney Princesses, which must be very exciting for her and her family. But, along the way, Disney gave Merida a makeover, and it’s got people in an uproar. Disney made Merida a little skinnier, a little tamer, with a dress that falls off the shoulders just so. Well, look, there are standards for being a Disney princess, Merida. Every can agree that the biggest problem with Brave was how its princess just wasn’t pretty enough. Glad Disney finally looked into that. However, people are upset enough about this to have gotten a petition going, and it’s running nearly 55,000 signatures strong. You’d think these people didn’t want this poor girl to be a Disney princess or something …
