Netflix CEO Reed Hastings took to Facebook last night to dispel rumors that the streaming content provider was planning on bringing advertising to the platform. Along with uploading a large, unexplained picture of a green dollar sign, Hasting wrote, “No advertising coming onto Netflix. Period. Just adding relevant cool trailers for other Netflix content you are likely to love.” In other words, if you are tuning into some Netflix original programming, you may get a trailer for some other Netflix-produced shows, but for now 30-second spots for cars and soda aren’t in the works for your binge-watching sessions …
