Drake finally released the music video for his single, “God’s Plan.” And as if we didn’t already love this record enough, the entire video is based on Drake giving away money to people who need it.
The video, directed by Karena Evans, opens with the caption, “The budget for this video was $996,631.90. We gave it all away. Don’t tell the label.”
The video documents all of his previously reported good deeds: giving away a $50,000 scholarship, donating $25,000 to a Miami high school for their after-school program, paying for people’s groceries, donating to a women’s shelter and more.
Drake also represents University of Miami in the video, throwing up “the U” and performing for thousands of students at the university.
The day before the release, Drake called the video, “The most important thing I have ever done in my career.”
