We’re not sure exactly what’s going on in Maniac, the new limited series from Jonah Hill and Emma Stone, directed by True Detective veteran Cary Fukunaga, but if the trailer is any indication, this is going to be one stylish, slick, gripping show.
Alright, so based on the trailer it looks like this might be about patients in some sort of mental hospital? Or victims of some kind of weird psychological experiment? Or maybe they’re just poorly dressed sanitation workers? Really, we’re guessing, if you couldn’t tell.
Either way, we’ll find out when Maniacs lands on Netflix September 21.
