
Hey, kids. You on Twitter? Sure you are. Well, guess what. The FBI is on Twitter too. Oh, yeah. They know all about you and Twitter. With your hashtags and what-not. And guess what else: You’re not going to be able to fool the FBI with your cool little slang words any more, because the FBI have an 83-page (eighty-three page!) manual on what all the Twitter slang words are, and they’re not afraid to use them in the quest for justice. Some of them are obvious, like SMH and SRSLY. A few are a little less common, like TOTM (Time of the month) and BYTM (better you than me).
And then there are some Twitter slang words that make you wonder if someone is pranking the FBI. It’s a little hard to believe there’s a huge demand for slang like EOTWAWKI (“End of the world as we know it”) and IITYWTMWYBMAD (“If I tell you what this means will you buy me a drink?”) but who knows what the kids are up to on Twitter these days?
