Jenna Jameson, once one of the most famous names in the adult film industry, has found a higher calling. The former porn star shared on Instagram that she’s been baptized and is now using her platform to help others “find Jesus.”
In a new Instagram post, Jameson shared that “after decades of being known for my body and sin,” she’s “switching sides” by “getting baptized and helping others find Jesus, too.”
“I am being loud and proud about my walk with Jesus Christ,” she told The New York Post. “Proclaiming my love for Him is opening so many people’s eyes to the fact that they are not irredeemable.”
It’s not Jameson’s first public turn toward faith. In 2015, she converted to Judaism during her relationship with Israeli businessman Lior Bitton, with whom she was later engaged. At the time, she spoke openly about her spirituality online — until antisemitic harassment drove her off Twitter. “My sobriety and faith are the most important things to me,” she said then. “Being Jewish. I must protect my love for G-d above everything.”
Since then, Jameson’s been open about her recovery journey and self-reinvention. She celebrated four years sober in 2019, writing, “We do recover. We do overcome. We do rebuild. But we never forget.”
