Former ‘Man vs. Food’ Host Is Now a Vegan

The former host of a show that was predicated on him attempting to win insane eating challenges at diners and restaurants around America, hasn’t touched meat in the last 90 days. Former Man vs. Food host Adam Richman, who recently lost nearly 70 pounds, told the Sunday Morning Herald that he’s been a vegan for the last three months. And though the commitment has evidently helped him lose weight, he says he does expect to eat red meat again: “Now does that mean I’m not going to have a steak? No, I absolutely will when I want to, but it’s just about picking and choosing my spots, and when I want to have that cow and I wanna have that bacon, I’m going to make it count, I’m going to make it great quality.” Admittedly, we’d still watch a show called Vegan vs. Food just to see how much hummus it’s possible to consume in a single sitting …

Update: On Twitter Richman said “The reports of my ‘becoming vegan’ have been greatly exaggerated” and he “occasionally eats vegan.” He prefers the term “omnivore”
