Christian indie-pop artists Forrest Frank and Noah Hayden have launched a new music project called Dawn Patrol, releasing its first single, “SOS,” today.
A second track, “Waste Some Time,” is set to arrive April 3, ahead of the full album’s release on April 8, which also happens to be Frank’s birthday.
Dawn Patrol leans into a more relaxed, sun-soaked sound while keeping the faith-rooted perspective that has shaped both Frank and Hayden’s solo work.
This isn’t Frank’s first time in a duo. Before becoming one of the fastest-rising independent Christian artists, he was one half of Surfaces, the indie-pop act whose 2020 hit “Sunday Best” became a viral breakout.
Since then, Frank has focused on solo music, building a massive audience with upbeat Christian pop songs that have crossed into the Billboard Hot 100 while continuing to dominate Christian charts. Dawn Patrol appears to widen that lane, pairing his melodic instincts with a looser, more laid-back sound alongside Hayden.
