‘God’s Plan’ Is Now Drake’s Fourth-Ever Billboard No. 1 Single

Drake’s new EP Scary Hours has already smashed streaming records. In 24 hours, the rapper’s single “God’s Plan” was streamed over 4.3 million times on Spotify and a record-breaking 14 million times on Apple Music. Now, it’s knocked off Camila Cabello and Young Thug’s “Havana” as the new No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

All in a day’s work for Drake. In March of last year Drake became the first artist to break 10 billion total streams across his entire catalogue. “God’s Plan” is his fourth No. 1 song (only his second as the primary artist) after “What’s My Name?” and “Work” with Rihanna and his own “One Dance.”

“God’s Plan” is about LeBron James’ latest career achievement of becoming the youngest player to ever score 30,000 points. Only six basketball players have ever reached that scoring benchmark in the NBA.
