Guy Spends 800 Hours Making ‘Super Mario Bros.’ Blanket By Hand

Kjetil Nordin has proven that with enough yarn, free time and devotion to old-school Nintendo, any crochet-related feat is possible. After more than 800 man hours and six and a half years, Nordin has completed this blanket that is an exact replica of the first map in the classic game, Super Mario Bros. 3. The 31-year-old also managed to get two college degrees, become a successful programmer and win the Norwegian Sky Diving team championships two different times, but we can’t help but think hand-making this average-sized video game blanket was the primary focus of his life for the better part of the last decade.
