Here Are Your 2014 Oscar Nominations

This morning, the nominees for the 2014 Academy Awards were announced, with David O. Russell’s American Hustle and Alfonso Cuarón’s space adventure Gravity leading the way with 10 noms each. Along with Gravity and American Hustle, Captain Phillips, Dallas Buyers Club, Her, Nebraska, Philomena, 12 Years a Slave and The Wolf of Wall Street rounded out the Best Picture category. Christian Bale (American Hustle), Bruce Dern (Nebraska), Leonardo DiCaprio (The Wolf of Wall Street), Chiwetel Ejiofr (12 Years a Slave) and Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club) all received nominations for Best Actor with Amy Adams (Hustle), Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine), Sandra Bullock (Gravity), Judi Dench (Philomena) and Meryl Streep (August: Osage County) all in the running for Best Actress.

Notably absent? Any love for Inside Llewyn Davis, which has Coen fans fuming. The 86th Academy Awards air on March 2, which means you only have a few weeks to attempt to marathon through the movies you haven’t seen and finish your party planning in preparation for an evening of watching actors and filmmakers celebrate and award themselves …
