As you may have read last week, televangelist Jesse Duplantis is facing widespread criticism after telling viewers of his TV show that he wants them to help him buy a $54 million jet.
As part of his pitch, he told them, “I really believe that if Jesus was physically on the Earth today he wouldn’t be riding a donkey. Think about that for a minute. He’d be in an airplane preaching the gospel all over the world.”
With lines like, “The gap between donkey and private jet is ALL OF TRANSPORTATION,” The Daily Show had a pretty good take.
