The Bible app YouVersion is one of the most popular apps in the world. (To date, it’s been downloaded to more than 350 million devices!)
And now, they’ve revealed the most popular verse of the year.
Their team looked at the verse that was most bookmarked, highlighted and shared over the course of the year, and found that both in the U.S. and globally, one verse stood above the rest: Isaiah 41:10.
In case you are not one of the people who highlighted and memorized the verse, it reads, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Bobby Gruenewald, Pastor, Innovation Leader for Life.Church and YouVersion Founder, explained in a statement, “This year’s data shows people worldwide are continuing to turn to the Bible in search of comfort, encouragement, and hope. We’re humbled that 10 years after its release, people continue to use the YouVersion Bible App in record numbers to connect with God’s Word.”
In a press release, the YouVersion team reported more encouraging news as well when it comes to engaging with the Bible:

Bible engagement reached new heights this year as YouVersion data showed a 27 percent increase in daily active users compared to last year. In fact, the YouVersion community listened to 4.2 billion chapters and read more than 27.2 billion chapters of the Bible this year, which is a year-over-year increase of 40 percent and 62 percent.
