Today is evidently National Sunglasses Day (at least according to the hashtag currently trending on Twitter).
In honor of such an important cultural event, here is a collection of one-liners uttered by David Caruso after investigating a gruesome crime scene in South Florida.
If you’re not familiar with CSI: Miami, most episodes opened with some sort of elaborate murder being investigated by David Caruso. He looks at a dead body, thinks about it for a moment, utters a ridiculous one-liner and cooly puts back on his sunglasses before the scene cuts away to the theme song, performed by a screaming member of The Who.
It is the most fitting tribute to sunglasses we could think of. (Warning, the clip does show some “dead” bodies.)
