The internet is freaking out over every last scrap of information on the upcoming Lion King remake from Disney. Last night, it went nuts over a cast photo from director Jon Favreau. Check it out:

That’s Favreau in the black tee, with Donald Glover (Simba), Billy Eichner (Timon) and a very scruffy-looking Seth Rogen (Pumba). The quartet is definitely in a recording studio, so could this mean they’re dropping some bars for the new version of “Hakuna Matata?” We sure hope so.
Also, shoutout Donald Glover’s Donald Duck sweater and Favreau’s 2001: A Space Odyssey shirt. If these are the influences we’re working with on Lion King, we’re preparing ourselves for a masterpiece.
Lion King comes out July 19 of next year. Yeesh, that’s a long way to go.
