Husband and wife actors Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have just made a massive donation to help victims of violence, war and ISIS in Syria. They recently gave two charities—the International Rescue Committee and Save the Children—one million dollars for various programs aimed at helping those displaced by the country’s long-running civil war. As CNN notes, half of the money given by Baron Cohen (Borat, Talladega Nights, Les Miserables) and Fisher (The Great Gatsby, Wedding Crashers, Now You See Me) will to go provide measles vaccinations, with the other half going to various health, education and shelter initiatives. The chief executive of Save the Children told The Guardian, “By allowing us to make their generous donation to Syrian children public, Sacha and Isla are helping highlight the tragedy of the issue today.”
