As has been rumored for a few weeks, Jared Leto will officially fill the iconic, homicidal clown shoes left in the wake of Heath Ledger’s untimely death. However, instead of starring opposite his old sparring partner in a new Batman movie, he’ll actually be center stage in a Suicide Squad film. In the comics, the Suicide Squad was a team of super villains wrangled into a sort of Black Ops team to do the government’s dirty work. In the movie, the squad will be made up of Margot Robbie (Wolf of Wall Street) as Joker’s main squeeze Harley Quinn; Will Smith as eagle-eyed assassin Deadshot; Tom Hardy as the second DC super villain of his career, Rick Flagg; Jai Courtney (Divergent) as Boomerang; and supermodel of the moment Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.
