USA has gone all-in on its televised take on the Jason Bourne universe, ordering upcoming new series Treadstone for a full season. (h/t The Hollywood Reporter)
In the world of the films, Treadstone is a black ops program within the CIA. While the Bourne movies followed Jason as he uncovered the organization’s dark history (and his involvement with it), the TV series will focus on a group of sleeper agents around the world as they carry out missions and operations.
Matt Damon, it’s been reported, will not be appearing. Too bad. We were hoping to see him beat up another person with a newspaper.
