Jimmy Kimmel’s “Lie Witness News” continues to be one of the most cringe-inducing segments on late night TV.
The set up is simple: People on the sidewalk are asked about an event that hasn’t even happened are then caught in the act of lying about having an opinion about it.
For the special Ash Wednesday edition, people were asked what they had given up for the last 40 days. As many of you (hopefully) know, Ash Wednesday is the first day of the season of Lent—not the last.
“It’s the first day of Lent, but did that stop people from lying from lying directly to Jesus’ face?” Kimmel asks viewers. You probably already know the answer.
