Jonathan Roumie may be best known for portraying Jesus on The Chosen, but his first Tonight Show appearance highlighted a little-known part of his acting past.
Sitting down with host Jimmy Fallon, Roumie took a detour from promoting the upcoming season of The Chosen to showcase the voice impressions he honed back in the day as a voice actor on MTV’s Celebrity Deathmatch. From a spot-on Marlon Brando to a crowd-pleasing Ray Romano and a pitch-perfect Bob Dylan, Roumie reminded everyone that before he was bringing Scripture to life, he was breathing life into claymation death brawls.
Of course, Roumie is pretty iconic in his portrayal of Jesus—but it’d be pretty epic to hear what Dylan would do with the Sermon on the Mount.
