Judd Apatow Is Producing a Lonely Island Movie ‘Set in the World of Music’

The music parody trio of Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone is headed to the big screen. According to Deadline, Judd Apatow will produce a new “film set in the world of music” starring the Lonely Island guys. The trio rose to fame for their Saturday Night Live “Digital Shorts,” and while Samberg has become a relatively well-known actor, Taccone and Schaffer have individually directed several studio comedies including Hot Rod, The Watch and MacGruber. There’s no word yet on a release date for the yet-to-be titled Apatow project …
