After his album Purpose became one of the biggest records of the year, Biebs has been outspoken about his rediscovered Christian faith—including getting a cross tatted on his face—but is also expressing his misgivings about American pop culture. Following the Billboard Music Awards, he posted a message to Instagram: “I don’t feel good when I’m there nor after … When I do get these awards the temptation of putting my worth in what I do is so hard to fight,” he wrote.
