Chance the Rapper took to Instagram last night to share a text message he received from fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar after this weekend’s Grammy Awards.
He wrote, “Congrats bro. God is moving.”
Chance took home three Grammys—for best new artist, best rap album and best rap performance—and performed one of the night’s most memorable song mash-ups, leading the crowd in singing “How Great Is Our God” along with a gospel choir.
Last year, Kendrick Lamar took home five Grammys for his album To Pimp a Butterfly, which like Chance’s Coloring Book, dealt heavily with faith-inspired themes.
