Even by Kevin Smith’s standards, his newly announced film Helena Handbag sounds wildly controversial. According to a Facebook post announcing the film, the movie features, “mankind teaming up with Hell to save existence from extinction at the hands of a Rapturing giant Jesus.” The polarizing filmmaker even acknowledge that a movie about humans teaming up with Satan to battle God is so divisive that it’s going to be difficult to get funding for, so there’s a chance it’ll never make it to the big screen: “The budget has to be LOW, because NOBODY’S gonna wanna make that movie.
