Clear some space on the DVR. NBC is moving ahead with a new drama about the gospel music industry called Kingdom Business and they’re not skimping on getting the facts right. Kirk Franklin with join Holly Carter and DeVon Franklin to produce the series, and John Sakmar and Kerry Lenhart will handle the script (you last saw them tackle Reign).

That’s about all we know for the moment, but there’s no doubt that a gospel music series is ripe for dramatic exploration. He writes that the show will “is a behind-the-scenes look into the world of the gospel music industry and all of the conflict and secrets that come with money, fame and success.”
