
In a quiet little store in Hawaii at 11pm on November 9, a little bit of American history passed away in what is probably the most appropriate way possible. Blockbuster shut its doors for the last time, after a couple of employees tweeted this photo of them holding the last movie the once-mighty franchise would ever rent out: This Is the End. Not sure where these guys are going to return Seth Rogen’s stoner apocalypse movie, but maybe that’s beside the point. Thanks for everything, Blockbuster.
