The late DMX’s faith is at the core of his new posthumous album, Let Us Pray: Chapter X, with artists like Christian rapper Lecrae lending their voice to the project.
The eight-track album features guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Mary Mary, Killer Mike, MC Lyte, Terrace Martin, Lena Byrd Miles and Lecrae in the first half, while the second half is fully instrumental.
DMX came to faith in his adult years, and once said he read the Bible every day. While in jail, DMX shared that he believed he had a bigger purpose for being there: “I came here to meet somebody…Don’t know who it was, but I’ll know when I see him.”
Let Us Pray: Chapter X is DMX’s second posthumous album following 2021’s Exodus, which was released shortly after his death in April of that year.
