Letitia Wright Is Ready to Move On From Her Anti-Vax Controversy

Letitia Wright has shared that she has “moved on” and apologized for her anti-vax comments.

Back in 2020, Wright shared a controversial hour-long video to her Twitter that featured a pastor sharing anti-vax remarks. which garnered widespread online criticism. Following the backlash, Wright apologized for her comments and deleted her Twitter account. Since then, there have been no further comments from Wright about the instance, until now.

“I feel it’s something I experienced two years ago and I have in a healthy way moved on. And in a healthy way I’ve apologized and deleted my Twitter. I just apologized for any hurt that was caused to anybody,” Wright shared with The Guardian. “Those are things that I am not and I apologized and I’ve moved on.”

But it appears that not everyone has moved on from her comments, as shown by The Hollywood Reporter‘s article “How Personal Baggage Will Impact Oscar Chances.” Wright called out the publication for comparing her controversy with stories of men in the industry who have been accused of abuse and sexual misconduct, including Woody Allen, Roman Polanski and Brad Pitt.

“You’re all incredibly disrespectful,” Wright wrote on her Instagram story along with a screenshot of the article. “This is vile behavior. At this point a personal vendetta towards me.”

Fans agreed that Wright’s past comments should not be compared to ongoing scandals.
