Let’s All Sign the Petition for Weird Al to Play the Super Bowl Halftime Show

A few days ago. NFL fan and musical genius Ed Ball launched a petition on Change.com to get “Weird Al” Yankovich for this year’s Super Bowl halftime show. The petition has picked up a little steam and now, with over 51,000 supporters, it’s time for the rest of us to sign it because it’s a great idea. As Ball notes, “Having [Weird Al] headline the Super XLIX Halftime show would not only be overly accepted by the millions of views, but it would remain true to the standards and quality of the show business we have come to love and respect out of this prestigious event.”

It’s not as crazy an idea as it sounds. Yankovich is coming off a great year: his new album, Mandatory Fun released at the top of Billboard, the first comedy album to do so since the early ’60s. And, really, who would be a better fit for the Super Bowl Halftime show? …
