Captioning stuff on the Jumbotron is tough work. You’ve got to move quick and be effective with your time. So perhaps it’s not altogether surprising that whoever was on duty at Madison Square Garden during the Knicks game just typed the first thing that came to their head to help audiences know Chance the Rapper’s occupation. But audiences may have found the descriptor just a tad redundant.
