Hopefully, you soaked in every blissful moment of the hope of a Friends reunion yesterday. Because today, our hopes are dashed. Matthew Perry’s rep says Chandler Bing will not be joining in the Friends reunion to honor director James Burrows. Perry is in the middle of rehearsals in London for his play Edge of Longing, which, according to his spokeswoman Lisa Kasteler, NBC executives have been aware of prior to their announcement of the reunion special. So, unless they do a two-part episode in London for Ross’ wedding again—which we’re totally OK with—it looks as if our dreams of seeing Chandler Bing’s notorious wit are effectively squashed.
