Cable Network WGN America has announced five of the ten filmmakers taking part in its upcoming Ten Commandments TV series, and so far, the line-up looks pretty impressive. Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Paranoid Park), Wes Craven (Scream), Michael Cera (you, know, George Michael Bluth), Lee Daniels (Precious, The Butler) and Jim Sheridan (In America, In the Name of the Father) have all signed on to direct an episode of the series that each tells a modern story based on one of the commandments. Co-producer Bob Weinstein said during a press event, “Each of these directors is acclaimed for their own unique brand of style and genre, so it’s clear that we can expect ten wildly different episodes from this series.” The concept is similar to another show—being developed by Fox—that looks at one of each of the Bible’s deadly sins as part of seven, one-hour episodes …
