Netflix continues to enjoy flexing in an era without movie theaters, dropping bankable hits and signing expensive talent while most movie studios twiddle their thumbs and pray for a COVID-19 vaccine. Next up is The Devil All the Time, a midwestern gothic tale based on Donald Ray Pollock’s book of the same name. And it’s got a dreamy cast: Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Jason Clarke, Riley Keough, Bill Skarsgård, Sebastian Stan, Haley Bennett, Mia Wasikowska and Eliza Scanlen.
The multi-generational epic follows the effect of war and crime on a few disturbed individuals struggling in Ohio from the end of World War II through the beginning of the Vietnam War. Holland will play Arvin Russell, a young Christian orphan whose life intersects with others in ways too fascinating to spoil here but suffice to say, it should be an interesting ride.
And now, we’ve got a few photos of the cast looking appropriately moody and gothic-y.
